Master Hunter orientation

In 2015, WDFW staff started providing orientation meetings for Master Hunter applicants, Master Hunters, and non-Master Hunters. These orientations were designed to give those attending the meetings a good overview of the Master Hunter Permit Program (MHPP) and what the program was designed to do. The orientation encompasses what it means to be a Master Hunter, how they are used, what the expectations are, and helpful hints for completion of the program requirements.

Below is the most current MHPP orientation presentation. Master Hunters, prospective Master Hunters, and the public at large can use the presentation to familiarize themselves with the MHPP and its goals.

WDFW will also be holding several in-person orientations this winter. If you have any questions on the presentation or the MHPP, please contact the Hunter Education staff at huntered@dfw.wa.gov or by phone at 360-902-8111.
