This plan is a robust roadmap for how WDFW intends to reduce the environmental impact of its operations by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing sustainability. It lays out a path to reduce the agency’s carbon footprint by 63% while saving the agency $5-$7 million in operating expenses through 2050. By going above and beyond legislative requirements to address all aspects of agency operations, WDFW hopes to lead by example as an agency whose mission is threatened by climate change.
