Cliff Lake

Cliff Lake is located within WDFW's Quincy Wildlife Area west of Evergreen Reservoir. This lake is part of a small group of waters called the Quincy Walk-In Lakes. Access to Cliff Lake is walk-in only. Fishing success at Cliff Lake varies year-to-year because the of its small size and relatively low number of trout planted. Therefore, WDFW recommends that anglers fish all the Quincy Walk-In Lakes to maximize catch. Trout size in this lake can be excellent with trout >20 inches routinely reported.

Rainbow trout

Fishing success for Rainbow Trout is generally best in the spring when thousands of fish are stocked statewide, but they can be caught year-round in most waters with a little patience and persistence. Success remains high into June and gradually declines as water temperatures increase and fish move offshore to stay cool. Fish that escaped the spring harvest return to the nearshore areas in the fall as waters cool off. Some waters may also be stocked again in the fall further boosting catch rates.
