Located south of the mouth of the Snake River and Burbank Slough, and west of Highway US-12 along the Columbia River, this pond has a year-round fishing season. Fishing from any floating device is prohibited. This pond is stocked multiple times during the spring (late Feb to mid May) with over 20,000 (10-12 inch) catchable sized rainbow trout, plus 400 "jumbo" rainbows (over 14 inches in length). Only two trout over 13 inches may be retained as part of the five trout daily limit here.

Two-pole fishing is allowed

Fishing prospects calendar

Rainbow trout

Fishing success for Rainbow Trout is generally best in the spring when thousands of fish are stocked statewide, but they can be caught year-round in most waters with a little patience and persistence. Success remains high into June and gradually declines as water temperatures increase and fish move offshore to stay cool. Fish that escaped the spring harvest return to the nearshore areas in the fall as waters cool off. Some waters may also be stocked again in the fall further boosting catch rates.
