Summary of proposed rule
As part of its 2025 hunting rule project, the department seeks to amend Wildlife rules to address the spread of CWD that has been detected in the state.
Scope and rationale for proposed rule
CWD threatens the health and well-being of deer, elk and moose populations in the state. The department needs to amend hunting rules to combat and reduce the spread of this disease.
