2025 North of Falcon - Recreational Fisheries

Rule-making status: Pending
Rule-making reference: #2025-01

Summary of proposed rule

The rule proposal regulates the 2025 recreational salmon fisheries statewide and is part of a comprehensive rulemaking package. Specific rule changes include setting dates, times, species, and daily limits for 2025 recreational salmon fisheries in saltwater and freshwater areas.

Scope and rationale for proposed rule

Each year, the department must review and amend recreational fishing rules resulting from stakeholder recommendations made during the 2025 North of Falcon process. These amendments are designed to perpetuate shellfish resources while maximizing recreational harvest opportunity for the public.

The amendments to rules may occur in WAC chapters 220-310 through 220-316.
