Department staff will brief the Commission on the following proposed additions and changes to the hydraulic code rules:

  • Changes to 220-110-201 through 206 Mineral prospecting (220-110-300)
  • Changes to 220-110-060 Construction of freshwater docks, piers, and floats and the driving or removal of piling (220-110-140)
  • New section 220-110-150 Boat ramps and launches in freshwater areas
  • New section 220-110-160 Marinas and terminals in freshwater areas

The Commission will consider approval of WAC 232-28-619 which is a large rule, containing all water bodies of the state that have exceptions to the general statewide recreational fishing rules. At the request of the Code Reviser, and to maximize efficiency and understandability of the code, the department proposes splitting this massive rule into more manageable pieces based on geographic area. These changes are technical in nature and do not affect the underlying effect of the provisions.
