11:15am - 12:00pm – 4. Informing Hunter Choice: Progress in Voluntary Lead-Free Ammunition Initiatives
Leland Brown, co-founder of the North American Non-Lean Partnership, will update the Commission on pivotal joint efforts with WDFW and other key partners. This presentation will cover recent successes and upcoming strategies designed to better inform a hunter’s choice of ammunition across Washington State.

The Commission will consider two land transactions: one for the transfer of two parcels in Jefferson County as an addition to the Chimacum Unit of the North Olympic Wildlife Area, and one for the transfer of multiple parcels in Grant County for the new Beezley Hills Unit of the Columbia Basin Wildlife Area as recommended by department staff.

Pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(i) and RCW 42.30.110(1)(g), the Commission will meet in executive session to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency, matters relating to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial consequence to the agency and to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee. No action will be taken during the executive session and the public is not permitted to attend. The Chair will return by 1:45pm to adjourn the meeting.
